1. Runaway Forest Garden

Even trees could ‘run away’, gradually growing outwards from the site in lower densities.

2. Visual + Noise Barrier

The site could be protected from noise, dust and attention from the highways by utilizing and adding more into available trees.

3.Running Canal Water

A hydroponic pond is extended from the canal to grow fish.

4. Pedestrianized Kitchen

The kitchen could only be accessed by pedestrians due to its runaway nature, although the existing road is allowed for delivery vehicles.

The Runaway Kitchen is divided into acts of cooking and eating. Whereas the cooking school area as the actual main feature of the project is hidden by partially submerging the space into the ground for privacy, the accompanying eating area is instead exposed on ground as a disguise of the main function of the setting. The activities of cooking and eating are therefore separated by contrasting level/degree of hiding.
